Reorder Paragraph is the third question type of Reading Module. Reorder Paragraph question type is the third most important question in Reading module and it contributes score only to Reading. In this question, Rearrange the given set of incorrect sentences in a correct order. You have to do 2- 3 Re-order paragraphs tasks.

Scoring Pattern ofReorder Paragraph
The score of Reorder Paragraphs is added to Reading modules only. Each correct pair carries one point, the partial credits are provided and there is no negative marking.
How subskills are tested?
Reading:
Identify the given topic, theme or main ideas of the passage by skimming all the given sentences.
Understanding of academic vocabulary, conjunction, connectors and pronoun is required to get the right sequence.
Differentiate between the direct and indirect meaning of the given words
Classify and categorize the given information to get the chronological sequence of events
How to Answer Reorder Paragraph?
Skim the given sentence in incorrect format in the LEFT panel of the screen.
Examine the given sentences to decide the stand-alone sentence, containing no such information which may be stated before, it will the TOPIC SENTENCE and move it to the RIGHT Panel by dragging and dropping.
Then look for the linking words such as transition words (also, however, moreover) demonstrative pronoun, personal pronoun, date sequence, article approach or acronym approach to get the right sequence of the given statements.
Keep on dragging and dropping the sentence to the RIGHT PANEL in the sequence, until the proper sequence is not got.
Once all the sentences are rearranged, skim them once and if required change the position by moving up and down otherwise move to the NEXT question if it seems to be in correct order.
STRATEGIES TO FOLLOW
Write short sentences and replace the nouns with pronouns to differentiate between independent and dependent sentence.
Start noticing the group of the sentences in any magazine, newspaper or journal given in the form of short passages and highlight the articles, linking words and the sequence of the events to get familiar with the pattern.
Highlight all the words which indicate the cohesion in the given passage while practicing the task.
Make the list of the words which will help you to put the statements in the right sequence.
TEST TIPS
Time management is important as there are 2-3 questions of Reorder Paragraphs. Try to spend 1.5 to 2 minutes on each passage.
Skim the sentences to have a quick idea of the topic and the independent sentence.
Focus on the pairs of the sentences, that will make your task easy.
Look for the clues related to the given information such as linking words, pronoun, sequence of the events etc.
